Out of the Wild Blue Yonder

War of Words of the Worlds

Hey everyone!!

Thanksgiving is over! Yes, we’re all properly stuffed, our diet blown and the fridge stuffed with leftovers! So what do we do? I know, we start preparing for Christmas: trees, lights, shopping and that all important list! (If you’re like me you probably need to begin to work off some of that extra weight (happy fat 🙂 ) So… Thinking about Christmas got me to pondering about other things. But mostly, the person Christmas is all about. No, not me…or you! 🙂 Even though I love you!

The birth of Jesus was a monumental pivotal point in the history, and future, of mankind as a whole, no matter what your faith affiliation is, you have to believe this fact. History doesn’t lie. Only people.

I know Jesus was the Christ that came and died for our sins, which is the most important. But was that all? Was there a liiiittle something else?

As I was meditating this morning, I was reminded of something that the Lord showed me about ten years ago when I was asked to do a devotional for a certain meeting. So I said yes and went to the Bible and prayer to see what the Lord wanted me to share with this group. I was totally amazed at what he showed me. It literally lit a fire in my brain!

The title was: A WAR OF WORDS

The Lord took my mind straight to Genesis chapter 3 to where the Biblical “WAR OF WORDS” began.

Hissss! “Surely you won’t die,” hissed the serpent.

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

Yep!! Right there, the war of words between God, mankind and Satan (which means adversary) began. Can you tell where this is going? I could not back then. But I’d like to take you through, as the Lord did me. Because when Adam and Eve ate that forbidden fruit, the “WAR OF WORDS” would indeed escalate.

When God came back onto the scene in that wonderfully green, dewy fresh and perfect garden, something in it wasn’t so perfect anymore. There was a little bit of a stench in His nostrils. Yeah… It was Adam and Eve. (I could interject right about here that Adam and Eve’s invisible robe of righteousness was now a tattered, filthy mess.) God could smell their stinky sin. Satan had put the sin-spin on them. Yeah…their fear and shame stunk to high heaven…literally.

AND GOD SAID...

“Where are you, Adam?”

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Now right here, the serpent became quiet. He was quite happy with the shabby, stinky deception he had created, because…get ready for it, THE FINGER POINTING BEGAN! Now you have to understand that finger pointing is very, very crucial to winning any and all territory in the battle of a, WAR OF WORDS!

“She did it!” “No, he did it!”

Now, this is the first stage where the war of words between God, Satan and mankind began, but it would not be the last. We’re only wading into the shallow end of the pool here folks. It does get deeper…and deeper because words are far more important than you think. Yeah… We, as human beings, dismiss words a lot of the time. But maybe we should not. Satan revealed himself in the garden. He was before shrouded in his own darkness he created. His darkness of lies. But he came out right there in the garden long enough to expose himself and start the all time war:

THE WAR OF WORDS OF THE WORLDS

Like I said, Jesus won our salvation, but was there a little something else, like I asked before? And, why is the “WAR OF WORDS OF THE WORLDS” so important for us to win?

I’ll be posting the answer to that question in the next THE WAR OF WORDS OF THE WORLD II soon. And we’ll get deeper into the devotion the Lord gave me many moons ago

Well, thanks for stopping by!

How God taught me to birth his promises inside my home, much as Sarah of old did.

These are a series of lessons and truths that the Lord taught me over a number of years.  Here I share how I took God’s word and brought it inside my home to claim the peace and promises of God for my family, which was broken at that time. I share how the Lord brought me through to rebuild the spiritual nucleus of my home and kept my family together. God gave me a promise for the future that I share at the end of the book.
