If you haven’t read War of Words I, where the “war of words” on earth between God, mankind and Satan began, get it here:

And then there is “War of Words of the Worlds II,” and what that “war of words” between Satan and Jesus in the wilderness when Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights was really about. And what that war meant for the rest of us lowly mortals.

So, War of Words III is the third installment of one rather long newsletter that I decided would be better served on three different platters, if you will. It’s all food for thought.

On this third platter we come into the present day War of Words of the Worlds. I’m pretty sure you can see where I might be going with this newsletter. And you would be right! If you live on planet earth and you can’t see the “war of words” that is going on everywhere, then lift your head up and scan the news media and the internet media. It will not take you long to see what I’m talking about with “The War of Words of the Worlds.”

The leaders of our country are in a “war of words.” Other countries are in a “war of words.” And if you look at our Bible from a standpoint of words, the Bible is actually based on a “war of words” that began in Genesis.  People began fighting over the truth with their words based on their ideas.

If you are in OUR CHRISTIAN WALK, or not, I’m sure you’ve heard about the battlefield of the mind. This is a battle between light and darkness, good and evil and the narrow path verses the broad way. We each have to make a choice which we will follow. Choose wisely whose words you listen to.

In our Christian walk, we battle a spiritual warfare in our spirits, MAKING DECISIONS, choices, which are based on a war of thoughts, words and ideas coming into our spirits. Trying to separate the good from the evil, because Satan, that old liar, comes at us from a spiritual standpoint to deceive us with our own thoughts.  ALSO, FROM OUTSIDE SOURCES, SUCH AS POLITICS, wrong church doctrine and other people, ect.

Make no mistake about it, we are in a “war of words” no matter what perch you are viewing the world from. But I have GOOD NEWS from THE WORD! Our Bibles are a word source we can go to every day and find out from the Lord God how to battle the war with words that we are constantly being bombarded with everyday.

Here I would like to share a few words from scripture that help me every day combat Satan, using all his evil means he can, coming against my mind spiritually and physically.

In our spiritual “war of words” in our minds we have a great advantage over Satan.  Like I say, we have the BIBLE, the word of God and we have Jesus, the living word of God, who overcame death, hell and the grave for us. After repenting of our sins, and accepting Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross to atone for those sins, Holy Spirit comes inside of us and lives in us. Holy Spirit is the SPIRIT OF TRUTH according to John. John 16:13 (ASV):

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.

WE are reading words, and here John talks about the Holy Spirit giving us words, truthful words!

We have the advantage! We must rely on Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of Truth, and the power of the Spirit of Truth living inside of us. The Bible, the written word of God, when we read it, our minds and hearts absorb it as we meditate on it. It is God’s food, his daily manna, if you will, that feeds our spirits and minds even as the food on our table feeds our bodies. God’s truth is a two edged sword where the front side will wound you is as it cuts away Satan’s horrible, painful lies from our minds and hearts. But the backside, a flaming fire, will cauterize (heal) us and begin to give us hope and peace in a world stale with Satan’s words, his lies.

Wrapped daily in God’s word, our faith in Him is a “Shield of faith”that is created with a heart filled with God’s word, a place you run to when the enemy tries to overwhelm you with his shady lies.

MORE GOOD NEWS: Paul wrote in Ephesians 6 about putting on the whole amour of God to stop the fiery darts of Satan.

Helmet of Salvation is to guard your mind from lies. Breast plate of righteousness is for you not to let words, lies of Satan enter your heart. Loins girt with truth keeps you from loving the enemies lies which leads to sin, sexual sins.

And the sixth thing that a lot of people leave out when they are talking or teaching about the armor of God.

How do we prepare ourselves with the gospel? We read and learn through the bible, WORDS, the truth about the gospel for ourselves and to share with others!

(5)  The “War of Words”!!! with each of us! I don’t know how many times you guys have lost the “war of words” with Satan and his lying sin-spin on things. I know I have, and I have lived to regret it.  But I learned.  Satan is sharp as a tack, but God’s word is sharper!!!

I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU!!! THE BATTLES GOES ON, BUT THE WAR OF WORDS HAS ACTUALLY BEEN WON! Even though the world, politicians, advertisements and producers, people filled with a world mentality and world view, argue and fight with each other through words over truth, God and what’s the right way. But there is one thing that stands out.

JESUS, THE LIVING WORD OF GOD, HAS WON ALREADY WHEN HE, THE WORD, WENT TO THE CROSS AND ROSE ON THE THIRD DAY, OVERCOMING DEATH, HELL AND THE GRAVE!

These are the things we need to “think about”. And we, as spiritual beings think in words, as well as visions. I WILL LEAVE YOU ALL WITH THESE WORDS ABOUT THE WAR OF WORDS of the worlds; PAUL WROTE THIS: Philippians 4:8-9 (KJV) 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, “think on these things”. When you think on these things, Satan can’t beat you down with his war of words DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU DOUBT GOD’S WORDS OF TRUTH.

Because when I began to let Holy Spirit lead me to think on God’s words instead of Satan’s “war of words” in politics, governments, and other battlefields, I began to understand it’s nothing new.  It’s been here from the beginning and God is in CONTROL just as he was in Genesis when He said He would send us a savior, and his name is Jesus.

Jesus is true, just, pure, lovely, virtuous, and he has a good report, and he is worthy to be praised.  He is everything Paul said to think on.

Wow!! What an amazing God we serve. So when you hear politics and all the bantering of words, and the “war of words” everywhere, remember God’s got you covered. He’s won the “war of words’. When I began to understand this, I’m not worried about “The War of Words” going on today. I just think about Jesus.  And I know God is in control, I’m at peace. I just wanted to share this, in case any of you have been worried, like I was, about this bickering that is going on in our country and in our government today. And even in the church.

Don’t worry, it’s a war that’s been going on for thousands of years.  A war that is already won. I hope I’ve made a little bit of sense today and I pray these thoughts will help you understand that words are important and should be used wisely. I hope you find comfort today in Jesus and your faith in him.

Thanks y’all for listening.

To You Prayers and love,

Your favorite romance author, (Hoping I soon am!)

Della.

How God taught me to birth his promises inside my home, much as Sarah of old did.

As you think about these things I’ve said in this newsletter, consider getting my book I wrote a few years back. It is a “handbook of hope for the home.” In it I share how I learned to listen to the voice of God and restored my family that was broken, and a few truths I learned along the way.
