If he couldn't become God over The Kingdom of God, he planned to become god over these puny, sin infested humans. After all, he did snatch them from God's hand and from the Garden of Eden. As he laughs diabolically, he feels pride once again in causing the downfall of God's newest creations, as he did part of the angels. Wha ha ha!
